PS. Read on to find out what I'm looking forward to

The Craft Lab

When I started Craft festival in 2004, I had 2 very young children. I wanted them to feel welcomed and important. The Children's Craft Tent was born and over 18 years we have raised an army of craft loving young people.

Jules Hogan

I really love Jules' colour palette, range of beautiful pieces and her making ethos. I'm looking forward to see what she has on offer this year.

Craft Cinema

Our beautiful, mobile cinema, Audrey, will be back this year. I originally found Audrey when I visited Goodwood Revival a number of years back. It's such a beautiful space, with a great history. Films about making will be playing every day.

John Williamson Baskets

If you're not following John on Instagram, I suggest you rectify this as soon as possible. I also recommend that you find John and his Stave Baskets in the Out of the Woods tent.

Red Shoes in the QEST Tipi

QEST are joining us for the first time this year and I'm looking forward to seeing Red Shoes demonstrating their leather craft.

Tom Frost

A may have mentioned a few times that I am Welsh ðŸ˜ƒ but like many discoveries these days, I found Tom on Instagram. I also found out he lived really near my brother so I visited, recorded a podcast and convinced him it was worth driving 5 hours to Bovey to demonstrate. Croeso i Bovey, Tom.

William Barsley

I also met William online last year, when he applied to be a member of Find a Maker. Based in Dartington, I immediately asked if I could interview him for my podcast and invited him to demonstrate. His skills are incredible.

Jodie Crook-Giles in Start UP

We support makers at all stages of their career and finding new makers is vitally imporant to developing the sector and the Festival as a whole.

Family

As well as being grateful for my own, lovely family, the Craft Festival Family comes a close 2nd. And I can't wait to meet this year's 200 members of my extended family.

Tapp on Wood in StartUP

I'm now heading back to the StartUP tent to meet Jonny Tapp. I met him last year at Toby's Garden Festival and I was delighted to see him apply for StartUP. I've become a bit obsessed with spoons and baskets, and now I can broaden by interests to brushes, thanks Jonny.
