Taffled threads, based in Clackmannanshire, Scotland is the handweaving and kiltmaking studio of Claire Hunter. With over 25 years experience in woven textile design, Claire brings a deep understanding of traditional craftsmanship to her work. In 2024, Claire completed a kiltmaking course to further expand and develop her practice, blending time- honoured techniques with a contemporary design approach.
Passionate about telling a story through cloth and using natural fibres,
her work consists of contemporary tartan designs and limited edition fabrics.
All tartans are officially registered with the Scottish Tartans Register and can only be woven by Taffled threads.
