Julie is a maker and tutor of quality baskets and willow sculptures inspired by Lancashire's rich cultural and natural heritage and uses English and sustainably produced locally grown willow and foraged materials. 

Traditional techniques learnt from renown basket-makers are used to design and make a classic range and collection of quality baskets that are strong and a pleasure to use.

Sculptures are designed and drawn in pencil and the forms are created using flexible willow. Larger sculptures are designed and produced in collaboration with a metal fabricator for greater strength and durability. 

Living willow structures pay homage to the willow tree and the qualities that enable it to be manipulated and shaped to produce functional and fun structures that grow organically over time.
