My ceramics are very much influenced by my background in graphic design, often having a fairly minimalist aesthetic. An element of humour and playfulness is an important part of my design and creative process, and I draw inspiration from many areas, including a love of food and art. I’m also very interested in exploring ideas around fragility and things that are broken – and the celebration of these imperfections.
I work mainly with black and white porcelain and bone china, as I enjoy the purity and depth of colour they allow me to achieve - and despite both materials being known for their challenges, I really appreciate their qualities.
Please do get in touch if you would like to find out more about my work, or are interested in buying or commissioning.
