I am a full-time basket maker and basket making tutor. I work mainly in willow, bark and soft fibres and source locally from my own willow bed and from the Somerset levels. The ability to make pieces from natural and sustainably sourced material is an integral part of my work.

I run weekly workshops teaching small groups the techniques needed to weave their own willow baskets.
With an increasing number of regular attendees, I am continuously developing my workshops.
The remainder of my week is spend developing and making my own basketry work for sale in shops and for exhibitions and commissions.

I see basketmaking today as an opportunity to connect with these time-honoured craft skills and allow them to remind us of a sustainable and beautiful way of working with natural and native materials.
