Janie Knitted Textiles use a range of hand flat knitting machines in their studio creating all the fabrics for their home and fashion products. They prefer to use natural fibres such as merino wool, linen and cotton and are currently using yarns from UK suppliers only. They have had their practice at The Harley Foundation at Welbeck since 2011, it’s provied to be an inspiring place to work and generate ideas. Their latest range of products are knitted lampshades made using french knitted cord woven round different shaped frames. These are then dip dyed to add colour in a graduated way. A range of Janie's lampshades are available through Heal's a top London interiors store.
