In my practice I make wheel thrown ceramics in porcelain. Each piece is bespoke and handcrafted. I aim to create functional and sculptural vessels with modern, clean crisp lines. The purity of the colour allows the simplicity of the form to stand out and creates a strong contrast for the lines that cut through the surface. My love of drawing and mark making features on the individual pieces and is produced using slip inlay. The form of each vessel becomes the blank canvas for drawings I produce, these are based on the walks I take and the maps I follow. I work from my studio at the bottom of my garden in the heart of Kent. At present I sell my work at fairs, online and through galleries.
