Kathleen Ashcroft Jewellery is inspired by architecture in particular buildings that are in ruins or no longer serve a purpose. Each piece is designed and hand crafted by Kathleen in small batches, using traditional jewellery making techniques.
Kathleen’s jewellery is created from her workshop in Plymouth, Devon
As a maker I am conscious of the impact creating can have on the environment, in order to be as green as possible, I create my work from recycled precious metal obtained from a reputable supplier, these precious metals are equal in quality to unrecycled metals, have a positive impact on the environment and helps you and me to make considered sustainable choices when it comes to choosing handmade goods. Further to this I also utilise any of my own excess metal that I have from making and recycle this into sheet metal and wire that then goes into making further pieces for you to enjoy.
I make in small batches only, very rarely hold stock and make designs on request. I have also recently been experimenting with sand casting my own designs in my workshop, which will hopefully feature in the near future.
