Highlights from 2025

Author: Sarah James

Date: 18 December 2025

Hello!

I hope this finds you very well and looking forward Christmas.

What a year 2025 has been!

We thought it was fitting to do a highlights of 2025 to show you all some of the exciting things we have been up to this year.

We hosted three wonderful Craft Festivals in Cheltenham, Bovey Tracey and Cardigan, welcoming 16,500 visitors, supporting 500 makers, and generating nearly £3 million for the economy.

We presented Find a Maker group stands at Craft Festival Bovey Tracey and Made London.

We were Shortlisted for Event of the Year in Ceredigion and I hosted new podcasts for the The Capital of Craft with some really thought-provoking guests.

I was interviewed on Do Radio, was on the TV twice, I went on tour delivering Preparing to Sell and we gave out 22 awards. (Keep scrolling for details).

Travelling Around in 2025

There aren't many weekends where I am actually home throughout the year as I spend a lot of my time travelling around the UK, planning our Festivals, visiting other shows, hosting Preparing to Sell workshops, recording podcasts and presenting awards. But mostly doing one of my favourite things, meeting the makers.

Some highlights for me were celebrating QEST's 35th Anniversary at Goldsmiths Hall, visiting The Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair and spending time with Find a Maker members at Made London.

Thank you

But, most importantly I want to say Thank You!

To all our friends, family, makers, visitors, volunteers, teachers, performers, supporters, funders and contractors, thank you so much.

Thank you for all your support in 2025, I am truly grateful.

Thank you to all the makers who take part in our Festivals.

Thank you to all 466 members of the Find a Maker Family.

Thank you to 16,500 visitors to our Festivals in 2025.

Looking Forward

Whilst this year has dished out a fair amount of heartache, we are finishing the year with a grateful heart. Grateful of my team, my family, the makers who I admire so much and my friends who have helped me get through it all.

It's now time to down tools and enjoy some much needed rest and nourishment.

Lots of love,

Sarah, Nina, Ashleigh and Kate
