Coming from a background in Fine Art, I am drawn to principles of form, proportion, poise and texture in the pieces of freestanding furniture that I create. Inspiration is wrought from the more elemental points in the local landscape; this heft to the land herabout is only strengthened by using those hardwoods that grow in it, supporting local arborists and mills. I hand-build simple, balanced and tactile pieces ready for sale. Commissions welcome.
