5 Favourites from our Friends at QEST

Hi!

As weekend's go, this weekend is as historic as it gets.

It is fitting to share the 5 Favourities of QEST CEO Deborah Pocock.

QEST, very generously, supports makers and young people in their pursuit of making. They will be joining us again at Craft Festival Bovey Tracey supporting our workshops in the Children's Craft Lab.

You can meet all of Deborah's choices and 200 more at Craft Festival Bovey Tracey, June 9-11.

There are also lots of workshops to choose from, but be quick, some are selling out already. CLICK HERE to book.

Best wishes,
Sarah

Peter Lanyon Furniture

I liked the simple elegance of Peter’s furniture; and grateful that it is created out of a slow and sustainable methodology and materials.

Harriet Caslin

I was particularly attracted to the form, line and repetition in Harriet’s porcelain work and the fact that she is combining digital processes and working by hand to create her pieces.  An excellent example of the evolving traditions of craft skills.

Helen Eastham Studio

The colours and painstaking processes that Helen uses to bring the Cornish landscape to life in her glassware are exquisite. The pieces that Helen creates tell the story of the place that she clearly loves and is passionate about.

Brett Payne

The modern aesthetic of Brett’s table silver, particularly his candlesticks, reflect the very best of British craftsmanship – combining both function and beauty.

Sue Potter

Her previous careers as both an architect and graphic designer are clearly influencing and defining Sue’s work. I’m excited to see more from Sue, particularly her geometric papercuts.
