A shirt style dress with a full row of mother of pearl buttons at the front, three patch pockets and a classical collar. Plenty of pleats at the back for volume, and over the elbow sleeves.
This is a Japanese linen by Naomi Ito with little red dots and tiny delicate letters and words.
Can be worn with or without the belt.

CHECK COMBINATION DRESS
Classical, timeless fitted dress - £445 *** SOLD
The top half of this dress is fitted and has a classical neckline.
The skirt has irregular pleats.
I used a patterned cotton where the top and the skirt meet.
Patch pocket at the front.
A concealed zip at the back
The material for the top is linen and cotton.
The material for the skirt is wool, linen and a bit of silk.
It is lined in a combination of different patterned, pure cotton lawns - so very busy on the inside.

GREY KIMONO DRESS
Linen dress - £345 *** SOLD
This knee length dress hangs away from the body. The pockets are neatly worked into the seam line. Two mother of pearl buttons and handworked thread chains are hidden under the embroidered silk placket. The hemline is a little bit longer at the front. The inside has been neatly finished with hand cut silk bias binding.

This piece is made from leftovers fabrics from three previous projects. A pure grey linen, a check grey linen and cotton from Merchant & Mill and an embroidered sari silk.

WHITE LINEN TOP
Linen top - £295 *** SOLD
White linen top with 3/4 sleeves with 6 darts each to give it shape, open neck and pockets on the front. The style is loose but elegantly shaped.

BLUE COTTON AND WOOL DRESS
Full length dress with 3/4 sleeves - £325
Blue dress in shirting weight cotton and wool blend. Full length, 3/4 length sleeves with 13 little pleats at the top and gathered at the bottom. Loose fit, pockets in side seams and refined neckline with spaghetti ribbons and blue mother of pearl buttons. Lots of hand sewn finishing touches.
The inside of my work matters as much to me as the outside. I used 2Â pure cotton, patterned lawns for the facing and pocketing.
This dress is perfect for all year round wear. It is a lovely summer dress and a useful layering piece.
